The Member of Parliament for the Bongo Constituency in the Upper East Region, Edward Bawa has entreated his party members to begin doing door-to-door campaign in order for the National Democratic Congress to recapture power in the 2020 general elections.
Speaking at a cleanup exercise organised by the NDC in the Bongo Constituency to mark June 4, the MP said the New Patriotic Party has lost the trust of Ghanaians because the government has failed to fulfill its campaign promises.
“…if election was to be held today, NDC as a party will win, but we still have hope of winning 2020 election, hence let us do it with hard work. Therefore our hard work will be going from house to house, landlord to landlord to campaign.” The Bongo MP said.
Mr. Bawa also charged other senior party members in the constituency to be proactive in building unity amongst members as that is the way to achieve victory in 2020.
Meanwhile, the Youth Organizer of the NDC in Bongo, Awuni Alfred was also optimistic that the NDC will win the 2020 elections, therefore members of various constituencies should work hard in order for the party to recapture power.
“The governing New Patriotic Party has failed Ghanaians and will not have the chance to win power 2020”, he said.
