Hannah Barron’s, from Alabama, caught the fish with her arm in what she describes as the southern fishing technique of ‘noodling’

A fishing and hunting enthusiast took her hobby to the next level by catching a huge catfish with her bare hands.

But when she emerged from the murky water, a fish was hanging onto her whole arm – which she didn’t seem fazed by.

Hannah Barron’s controversial hobby has landed her 530k followers and in this video she shares the southern fishing technique of ‘noodling’.

Wearing a bikini and rock shoes, the 23-year-old free dived down into the muddy water – completely disapearing.

A male companion seemed to hold onto her, gritting his teeth in the struggle as Hannah kicked her legs into the air.

After a few moments she pops back up from the water and brings the fish with her.

The catfish locked its jaws around her arm – engulfing her entire forearm.

Luckily for Hannah, catfish don’t have teeth but their mouths can expand so they can gulp their prey down.

As the fish thrashes around, with Hannah’s arm still in its mouth, she keeps a firm grip – with her other arm jammed in its gills.

Grinning and laughing the whole time, she clearly had no concerns over the humongous creature.

Some commented on her Facebook video, with one saying: “What a huge fish, if one of those bites me I don’t know what I would do.”

Another wrote: “The woman is calm and smiling despite having that huge animal clinging to her arm.”

She said that she lets most of the catfish go after what looks like a traumatic time for the animal. If she doesn’t let the fish go, she’ll take it home and eat it.

Her Instagram attracts other hunters, with some of the content marked as graphic. In one video she is on a boat in Louisiana with a small film crew.

She pulls a alligator from the swamp and then shoots it in the head as part of “noodling season”.

Her followers poke fun at animal rights charities and ask her the best way to cook ‘gator’.

In another picture she can be seen posing with a dead Kanssas Coyote, but claims that it’s ‘predator control’ and that she plans on turning the animal into a blanket.

On a picture of her and her dad posing with a stag, covered in blood, one animal lover wrote: “Murderers”

Another said: “Shame on you guys”

Her dad held the stag up by its antlers and the couple rested the bow against its stomach.

She wrote: “This fellah was already there with a doe.

“The doe spooked, and he turned to leave. Dad ranged him at 66 yards, and let one fly knowing it would be is only shot and confident that he could make it happen.

“He was quartering away pretty hard. Dad hit him between the back two ribs, and it came out between his front legs in a perfect shot.”
