Entrepreneurial hub opens in Upper East Region

A center which seeks to bring together businesses in the Upper East Region under one roof to leverage economic and social opportunities has been opened. 

Known as Hub 500, its core responsibilities include to empower young individuals especially female entrepreneurs to set up sustainable businesses for self-sustainability. 

Founder of Hub 500, Adabre Akasoba Frank who doubles Chief Executive Officer of Northlite Solar Limited said the poverty level in the Upper East region was rife called one of the reasons behind the his initiative.

He therefore called on government to place priority on businesses deprived areas  in the country as party of measures in addressing inequality in the system.

“We will want to call on government to place some emphasis in this region, because this is a peculiar region. So that it can argument what the private businesses are doing. It is about time that we use our indigenous companies to help other indigenous smaller companies. We should not always look outside the territories of Ghana to get help when we can do it here in Ghana”, he indicated.

He was speaking to the media during an event to commission Hub 500 located at Kumbosigo in the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region. 

Hub 500 will not only provide a platform for businesses to strive but will also with the aid of professional coaches,offer legal advices to businesses or companies that are going through legal crisis. 

The entrepreneurial hub hopes to serve as a platform for individuals and organizations to send and receive information to and from business owners. 

Mr. Adabre said the formation of Hub 500 was to support individuals to cross bridges in the businesses industry.
