Patriotic Health Workers in Upper East region intensifies fight against spread of covid 19

Upper East regional branch of the Patriotic Health Workers Association has donated some essential items including Veronica buckets, Liquid soap, Hand sanitizers to some selected institutions in the Bolgatanga municipality to help control the spread of the coronavirus.


The beneficiary areas includes the Bolgatanga municipal police station and designated places at selected bus terminals.

A member of the group who doubles a diseases control officer at the Bongo District hospital, Atakora Boyin Flexi said it was the responsibility of health workers to contribute the little they can in the fight against coronavirus in the region and beyond.


“It is not everybody who can afford the hygienic equipment at their work places as directed that is why we are supporting the traders as well as drivers and passengers with these items. After this exercise, as health workers, we shall organize health education for the people on how to use the donated items and how to protect themselves from the virus”, he said.

The Bolgatanga municipal Chief Inspector, CID Edimond Addo who received the items on behalf of the police command, thanked the Patriotic Health Workers for the gesture.


“We are very excited that you people are having the police administration in mind in the wake of the novel corona virus ,And we will make good use of the donated items He added”

The governing New Patriotic Party Regional Youth Organizer, Latif Solomon who observed the donation exercise expressed excitement and congratulate the Patriotic Health Workers for their effort.
