Members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Builsa South Constituency of the Upper East Region say,their consistent pressure on Member of Parliament for the area ,Dr. Clement Apaak has yielded results.

According to the NPP, the MP exhibited unwillingness to procure medical essentials and materials to help in the fight against Covid19 and it had to take their efforts to make him benevolent.

Below is a statement issued by the NPP and copied A1 News;

OUR CALL ON HON. DR.CLEMENT APAAK TO SHOW LEADERSHIP HAS YIELDED POSITIVE RESULTS

The MP for Builsa South Hon.Dr.Clement Apaak has finally donated medical items to the Builsa South Health Directorate to support the preventive measures in fighting COVID-19 in the Builsa South District.

It will be recalled that, on the 6th April,2020, the Builsa South NPP Communications Directorate in a press statement, made a passionate call on the MP to show leadership in the fight against COVID-19 in Builsa South citing his colleague MPs for Bolga Central, Navrongo Central, Talensi, Nabdam and Bongo who came down from Accra to show care and love to their constituents and to donate to their districts health directorates to support the fight against COVID-19

On Monday ,the 20th April, 2020, Dr.Clement Apaak became the last MP in the Upper East Region to have physically came down from Accra to his constituency and finally donated medical face masks, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and a gun thermometer(infra-red thermometer) to the health directorate of the Builsa South District.

Though his donations came late, we wish to use this medium and other media platforms to commend and appreciate our MP for responding positively to the call of his constituents as saying goes, “it is better late than never”.
