Former President now Flag Bearer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC),John Mahama has been asked to refrain from speaking on national issues because he was not in charge of affairs in the country.

Deputy Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party(NPP),Johnson Ayine questioned the capacity of John Mahama addressing the nation on governance when he has no facts to inform the citizenry.

Speaking on Daybreak Upper East, Mr. Ayine lamented government has tried all means possible to ignore the NDC in it’s scare mongering claims about governance but it has persisted and fixated in churning out falsehood.

According to him, no state institution will divulge information to the former President so it was baffling to hear him speak on national issues when he has no data to back his claims.

“We are tired of trying to ignore the NDC  yet it is the political propaganda that they are trying to put out. Consistently they think that the President is addressing the nation every Sunday , Information Minister with other stakeholders are briefing the state twice a week and it is like the Ghanaian people are moving with them so  he has to come out with his parallel way of doing things so let me also address the nation.  I was even asking, how do say you want to address the nation ? You want to speak to the nation. You don’t address the nation because which information do you have ? MMDAs will not release any data for you to address so when you talk of addressing the nation, then it means you are in charge” He lamented.

He therefore called on the NDC members to relax and reserve their energy because, it will be impossible for them to come back to power taking into consideration what the NPP has done for Ghanaians which warrants a renewal of their mandate.
