Upper East Regional Minister,Tangoba Abayage has expressed satisfaction about the measures put in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus at the registration center of Electoral Commission of Ghana in the ongoing pilot registration exercise.
The EC has embarked on a nationwide pilot exercise on the new voter’s register compilation in all regional capitals.
And Hon. Tangoba who was on a working visit to the pilot center in Bolgatanga after taking through all safety protocols, said “I am impressed with the measures put in place to adhere to the Covid19 protocols and hopeful that these will be replicated in the subsequent general registration exercise”.
According to her “From the briefing I received, 60 people were registered yesterday and registration was ongoing today also.
She also indicated on her Facebook page that “I was informed that the registration machines have upgraded features that will enhance security and visibility. She has therefore called on the general public to cooperate with the process for a free and fair incident free upcoming general elections.
