MTN Ghana gifts Christmas babies in Bolgatanga

The Upper East Regional Branch of telecommunication giant, MTN Ghana, has gifted baby products to newborns at the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga.

The babies, 12 in number, were born on December 25, a day concurred with the birth of Jesus Christ which is widely observed as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.

Speaking to the media, the Tertiary Sales Control of MTN, Richard Asamani said the initiative forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities of giving back to society; hence the day was perfect to support parents with such baby products.

“As it is happening in every region, we as a company see babies as special gifts from God, and as they are born in this day of giving and sharing; we saw the need to support their parents with our little token.” He noted.

“As I’m speaking, we {he and his team) are going to present similar gifts to babies at the Nalerigu Baptist Medical Center in the North-East District.”

Touching on how the company planned to celebrate this year’s Christmas in the midst of coronavirus, Mr. Asamani explained that it would be a celebration of sharing as well as entreating people to adhere to the COVID-19 preventive protocols to control the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Mr. Asamani further wished the babies and residents of the region a Merry Christmas while entreating the general public to continue using the MTN network for their daily activities.

Some of the nursing mothers who could not hide their excitement thanked MTN Ghana for the kind gesture.

They added that the presentation of the gifts brought joy to them and their families hence’ they will keep on using the MTN network for their activities.
