Contrary to widespread speculations that controversial Ghanaian musician, Wanlov the Kubolor has over 20 children, the musician says he is only responsible for 9 children.
“I am responsible for only 9 children; seven are my biological children, produced by my own spermatozoa. My two other children were produced by some other two guys and their mothers.”
Wanlov the Kubolor was speaking in an exclusive interview on the “WORK AND HAPPINESS” show on A1 Radio with THEZZ.
Asked why his children have strange names, Wanlov the Kubolor said the names of his children are not strange, rather they are names that reflect the circumstance around their birth and his own life.
“So Ama Mampi (meaning I did not release) for example, I felt like I did not release all my spermatozoa. Initially, I was doubting the mother, but when I saw her forehead, I knew she was my daughter. There was no need for a DNA test to prove that she was my child.
Touching on other issues, Wanlov the Kubolor, said he still loves the people of the Bolgatanga Municipality and enjoys being in the area and working with traditional musicians.
“What I don’t like is the rubbers everywhere in the municipality. It is bad and I wish we can do away with the polythene bags. Personally, I don’t accept polythene bags when I buy things outside. People buy small things and they want to be given polythene bags.”
Wanlov the Kubolor was in the studio with his longtime friend and owner of WestSide Record Label, Mr. West, as well as Yaw Lucas, who featured on the New Year New Tradition Music Festival held in Bolgatanga on January 7.
