A leading member of Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), Abu Ramadan has condemned the current expansion project of the Tamale Airport to an International standard as a ‘misplaced priority’.

The People’s National Convention (PNC) National Youth Organizer made the comment on an Accra based radio station, Citi FM.

However in an exclusive interview with A1 Radio’s program ‘Day Break Upper East’ on Thursday, Mr. Ramadan defended his position that residents of the North do not need an international airport.

He lamented that people of the North are in need of a machines to improve agriculture production. Adding that improved educational infrastructure will better the lives of people in the North but not the expansion of the airport to an international standard.

Mr. Abu refuted saying the expansion project of the Tamale Airport to give it an international status is equally doing the right thing at the wrong time.
