NDA master plan yields positive results as two foreign companies partner for youth development

Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Northern Development Authority (NDA) Boniface Gambila has assured Ghanaian youth especially those in the five Savannah Regions of the North, that the authority is poised in delivering its core mandate.

The mandate of the authority according to him, is poverty eradication, job provision, and entrepreneurship training for youth in the five Savannah Regions of the North.

In an interview on A1 Radio, Mr. Gambila noted that, the authority has developed a master plan that catalogs various developmental needs for each the Savanna Regions to empower the youth and has already gained partnership with two foreign companies.

He said, “We are looking at building capacity for the youth. The youth is the future growth of the country. So, the strategy tactics of NDA is how to ensure its vision comes to fruition. And Agriculture is one of the areas which we are focusing on, to engage more youth into agriculture. As we are speaking, we are engaging with two foreign companies, one from Israel and the other from South Africa to see how they can train some of the youth in entrepreneurship development.”

Stressing on the two companies, the acting CEO noted that, the authority has already made more advanced engagements with them and the agreements made were agreeable for both parties especially in the area of youth entrepreneurship.

Mr. Gambila, therefore, asked the youth to be circumspect with the authority as it is the backbone for poverty eradication in the Savannah Regions.
