Upper East Regional Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Benjamin Atuasi, has declared his intention to seek re-election, asking delegates for another mandate based on what he describes as a record of competence, accessibility, results and experience.

Mr Atuasi, who was elected in October 2022, says his bid for another term is anchored on his nearly four years of service within the party’s regional communication structure.

During his tenure, he says he has contributed to capacity building for communicators, social media coordination, support for constituency communication officers, media engagement, press releases, press conferences and performance reviews.

According to Mr Atuasi, these interventions strengthened the NDC’s communication machinery ahead of the 2024 general elections and contributed to the party’s electoral performance across the Upper East Region, where it won all 15 parliamentary seats.

He believes the next phase should focus on consolidating those gains and developing a more proactive, strategic and results-driven regional communication bureau.

Mr Atuasi is therefore appealing to delegates and party communicators to renew their confidence in him when nominations open.

He maintains that his first term has provided him with the experience required to continue serving the regional communication structure.

“The record is there and the experience is proven,” Mr Atuasi said.
