Former Upper East Regional Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Casper Sunday Kampoli, has declared his intention to contest the Regional Communications Officer position, promising a data-driven communication strategy to help the party retain all 15 parliamentary seats in the region in 2028.
Mr Kampoli says sustaining the NDC’s 15/15 electoral gains will require the party to strengthen its media and communications machinery and adopt a more strategic approach to communicating its record, policies and achievements.
According to him, the 2028 elections will increasingly be a contest of narratives, requiring the party to rely on data and facts while being proactive in shaping political discussions across traditional and new media platforms.
“2028 election requires perfection in telling the RESET AGENDA narrative in every aspect of our political communication.”
Mr Kampoli served as Deputy Upper East Regional Communications Officer of the NDC from 2018 to 2022 and says his experience coordinating the party’s media activities and working with grassroots communicators has prepared him to lead the regional communications structure.
If elected, he plans to strengthen communication from the branch and constituency levels by equipping communicators with timely information and the tools needed to effectively communicate the party’s messages.
He also intends to strengthen media monitoring and increase the use of data to identify emerging issues, respond to misinformation and communicate government policies in ways that are simple and compelling to voters.
Mr Kampoli believes stronger coordination between grassroots communicators and the regional communications structure will be critical to defending the NDC’s electoral gains in the Upper East Region.
He is therefore seeking the mandate of delegates under the campaign theme, “Strategic Political Communication to Sustain Agenda 15/15.”
