He indicated that borehole will go a long to solve the acute shortage of water that the school is often confronted with, thereby improving upon the academic performances of the school.

He said it will solve the hustle of students forgoing classes in search of water.

“The school has always had this problem of water shortage and it affects academic work. You see students with buckets all over the place searching for water, so we decided that we are going to have a sustainable water system for the school. Luckily for us, one of our own managed to get a borehole drilled with high yield. So, our branches in Accra and the Upper East Region decided to fund that project. Luckily the project was completed yesterday and will be commissioned on Saturday. So, the school will now have a continuous flow of water into every bungalow, into every sink, and also in the kitchen which is most important to the students,” he stated.

The initiative is part of activities to mark the Old Students of Bawku Senior High School’s homecoming.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Addressing Educational Challenges in the midst of COVID-19, The Role of The Alumni.
