Supt. Rtd. Peter Lanchene Toobu, Member of Parliament for Wa West in the Upper West Region has said he, like many other Ghanaians, are disappointed in the Nana Akufo-Addo led administration.

Mr. Toobu explained that the former administration under John Dramani Mahama was heavily castigated and taken to the gutters by members of the current administration. Today, he said, the NPP led administration has done worse than what it accused the previous administration of.

He said members of the current government had participated in open thievery and corruption citing examples such as the missing excavators under the watch of the then Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, John Peter Amewu.

Mr. Toobu said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East.

“This administration rode on the back of Ghanaians, rode on the back of corruption allegations to power. They said President John Mahama was corrupt, very incompetent and so the Ghanaian people felt that with President Nana Akufo-Addo, Ghana was going to move in the right direction and get transformed within a very short time of governance”.

“Unfortunately, what we have witnessed from 2017 to date is open thievery, direct corruption. Can you imagine that when they were talking about guinea fowls flying into Burkina Faso, today, tricycles, motorcycles and excavators heavy-duty machines can get lost in broad day light and nothing will ever happen,” he said.

Mr. Toobu continued to argue that “these people lost the trust of Ghanaians from day one”.
