He mentioned that the thieves pointed a gun at a young girl he took on his way to Bolgatanga, living the girl in a traumatized state.

“When I was crossed, I fell down from the motor and I was pounced on and beaten. They were holding sticks and knives. They pointed a gun at a young girl who I picked on my way to Bolgatanga and threatened that she keeps quite or they will shoot her.”

He noted that residents of the area came to his rescue after they heard him screaming but could not arrest the attackers who bolted with his bag containing some important documents but could not take the motor bike.

Although Mr. Akanpoi lodged a complaint with the Purmolgo Sirigu Police, he was directed to the Bongo Police Station and has since decided not to follow up because according to him he has lost trust in the effectiveness of the Police.
