Some customers of DKM Micro Finance company in the Upper East have expressed interest in continuing to do business with DKM Microfinance whiles others say they may consider a continuation after they have finally received the money invested with DKM Microfinance.
The customers made this known after a short meeting organized by the management of DKM microfinance Upper East branch to meet with their customers.
The meeting was held to express their profound gratitude and apologies to the customers for the trust, patience and encouragement customers had given to support them during their difficult time.
DKM Microfinance offices were locked up and placed on 90 day moratorium which took effect from May 11 2015 by Bank of Ghana. The Moratorium ended on August 11 2015.
According to Head of Other Financial Institutions at Bank of Ghana Raymond Amanfo DKM Microfinance did not meet the requirements demanded by Bank of Ghana to enable them continue their operation as a microfinance.
It was good news to customers of DKM Microfinance after receiving an official document from Bank of Ghana saying DKM is cleared and can continue its operation across the country.
DKM CEO Delle Martin assured that customers will start accessing their investment from Tuesday September 22.
The management of DKM Microfinance at the meeting on Monday told the angry customers that Bank of Ghana has ordered them to pay customers their investment principal at the moment, and must not receive deposit until they are notified. They also pleaded that since payment starts on 22nd September, customers should comply with the payment time table which was given to them per their maturity date.
Checks by a1radioonline.com however revealed that customers who thronged the offices of the company did not get their monies due to a network failure. Payment will however continue in subsequent days.
