The Bimoba Youth Association, Bolgatanga chapter with a membership strength of 126, as part of its annual get together celebration has called on various stakeholders and government to initiate processes to officially approve the Moar language to be taught in school.
Speaking at the get-together celebration, the Chairman of the Association, Joseph Yennukua Duut explained that, even though the process may not be easy, it is possible if there is some level of commitment.
He stated, “going forward, I would entreat our Honorable MPs, DCEs traditional authorities, educationist and other opinion leaders to pool resources and initiate a process leading to developing Moar as a recognized and approved language to be taught in schools.”
While admitting the challenges associated with initiating that process, he however is optimistic that, “if we set up a powerful committee charged with that responsibility, it will be done. Yes, we can”.
Mr. Duut used the occasion to reiterate for people from the Bimoba land to avail themselves to be registered with the Association He encouraged members to live lives that promote peace and unity in their communities in the Municipality.
Mr. Duut called on the people Bawku to give peace a chance in order to save lives and properties.
