The newly appointed Regional Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region, Peter Ayinbisa has said while he understands that some political communicators and actors may be slighted by his appointment, it is critical to realize that there can only be one appointment at a time.

He explained that while his time may have come, others may have the opportunity to serve in the capacity he is serving in the coming years. In lieu of this, all communicators and party folks are being called upon to unite in their attempt to restructure the party and devise more innovative means of ‘breaking the 8’.

Mr. Ayinbisa said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, today, Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

“Our communicators, though some of the were not happy, moving forward, we would have to come to understand that there is only one appointment for the regional communications director at a time. Maybe, this is the time for Ayinbisa to come and support the communications wing. Another person’s time would also come. So I call on them to remain calm. Let us remain together, let us be resolute. We need one another at this time more than ever.”

“This is the time we need to work together to foster unity among the communicators and strategize properly to come and confront the NDC with their vile propaganda,” he said.

Mr. Ayinbisa heaping praises on the communicators explained that they are intellectuals who would be able to discern the issues and make the right decisions.

He added that his strategies would include working hand in hand with the communicators, insisting that “I am not here to dictate to anybody. I do not know more than them. I am coming to learn with them. I am coming so that we help each other, and do a few things differently and see how best we can achieve different results.”

Earlier, the newly appointed Regional Communications Director for the NPP in the Upper East Region, Peter Ayinbisa insinuated that the rancour and seeming general discomfort from sections of the NPP in the region that surrounded his appointment into office was expected.

Mr. Ayinbisa explained that while he may not have been at the forefront of communication in recent times, it would not be appropriate to suggest that his appointment flies in the face of common sense because he is not a member of the communication team. The former DCE insisted that even as DCE, he continued to assist others, behind the scenes, in other communication roles.
