A former Upper East Regional Minister Rockson Bukari has admonished Youth in the region to change their attitude and be humble. Mr. Rockson Bukari said he is unhappy about how young people behave; especially towards elderly people and within themselves when it comes to the issues of development.
He noted that it is important that the youth of the region come together and seek development initiatives from authorities rather than involve themselves in activities that cannot bring a single development to the region.
According to the former Regional Minister, the region is lagging behind when it comes to development, yet, the youth who are supposed to be humble and spearheading the developmental agenda of the region are usually engaged in trading insults amongst themselves and to elders in the society.
“I also pray and appeal to the youth in the Upper East Region to at least be humble and change their attitude, and let us talk with one mouth and see what is worrying us and what we need. Let us not insult ourselves. Let us not pull ourselves down. Let us always discuss what we need in this region.”
“What we should tell our MPs, what we should tell our leaders, what we should tell the regional Minister, what we should tell our DCEs, what we should do for our region is what we should be thinking about and stop insulting ourselves here and there.”
He said this in an exclusive interview with Mark Smith Kwasi Ahumah, host of Daybreak Upper East Show in his residence at Gambibigo in the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region.
