James Kombat, an aspirant in the upcoming National Democratic Congress’ November 7th primaries in Garu constituency has accused the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Dominic Azembe Azumah of introducing NPP in the constituency due to his ‘greed.’

He said the incumbent Member of Parliament’s greed has given the biggest opposition party, NPP numbers in the constituency which hitherto was not the case.

“Formerly, the NPP had few votes in the area but the MP has made them get the numbers now. The MP won in the 2012 election by a meagre gap of 500 votes which formerly was not the case. This signifies that the party’s fortune is dwindling.”

According to him, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency has over twenty years taken the people of Garu for granted and his inefficiency and greed has made people who are unhappy leave the party.

He mentioned that the incumbent MP, Hon. Dominic Ayine has over twenty years deceived the constituents and that has rendered the constituency underdeveloped.

He noted that, pupils in the various schools in the constituency lack basic infrastructure to aid in education but the Member of Parliament has failed to assist schools in the area.

Mr. James Kombat maintained that although the incumbent Hon. Dominic Azembe Azumah is tired, his greed has made him apply for a re-election.

“The MP is even tired but instead of him to reason and say I am tired so someone else should take up the mantle and to develop the area, he is seeking a re-run.

He however vowed to unseat the “greedy” incumbent Member of Parliament because he is optimistic of winning over 28 out of a total 42 polling stations in the constituency.
