Incumbent Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Central constituency, Hon Opam-Brown Akolbire, has been booted out from the seat by Isaac Adongo, a financial analyst.
Hon. Opam-Brown who was expecting to represent the National Democratic Congress in next year’s general elections pulled 2956 as against Isaac Adongo who pulled 4,219.
Meanwhile, outspoken Lawyer, Abraham Amaliba came second by pulling 3,052 whereas George Gamson made 906 of the votes cast on the day.
Isaac Adongo is however expected to stage strong campaigns come next year in order to beat the candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Rex Asaga who is expected to give him a stiffer opposition.
