A National Democratic Congress parliamentary hopeful for the Chiana-Paga constituency in the Upper East Region has promised to complete all abandoned developmental projects started by previous MPs in the area when he is elected Member of Parliament.

Nikyema Billa Alamzy, who is poised to contest the NDC’s parliamentary primaries, was worried that projects started by previous MPs for the Chiana-Paga constituency have stalled after a new face surfaced.

“In Chapter 2 of my campaign, we realised that when an MP is leaving the office without completing some projects and the next MP comes, the next MP always abandons the projects and focuses on their own projects. So, we have decided that our Chapter 2, we are going to make resources available and try as much as possible to complete all abandoned projects that are being left behind because those who started them are no more in power”, Mr. Alamzy said on A1 Radio.

Mr. Alamzy mentioned that an ambulance that was donated by a former MP Leo Kaba to the Paga hospital but has since broken down would be fixed to provide quality and efficient health service for the constituents if he is voted an MP.

From the eastern zone of the constituency, the NDC parliamentary hopeful indicated that the immediate MP for Chiana-Paga constituency, Lawyer Rudolph Amenga-etego started the construction of a clinic at Atibabiisi community but it was stalled after he exited the office.

The politician cum businessman revealed that he intends complete also, stalled borehole project at Kayoro Baliu and an abandoned social center both in the western zone of the constituency that was started by former MP, Abuga Pele when elected MP for the area.

When these and many other projects he intends to embark on are completed, Nikyema Billa Alamzy believes would improve the lives of the constituents while ensuring value for money.

The businessman announced the provision of microloans for the youth and women groups, “free health insurance for the aged, we will lobby for new schools and renovate all schools not fit for purpose and will also provide furniture and improve the classroom nature of our schools” if the constituents give him the mandate to lead them.
