The Upper East Regional branch of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) is set to play a football match against communicators of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of its second edition of awards.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Association, Albert Sore, it said, “As part of activities towards the 2nd Upper East Regional GJA Awards to be held on October 6, 2023, a friendly football match has been fixed between the GJA and a combined team of NPP and NDC party communicators”.
The match is set to be played on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Bolgatanga Mobil Astroturf.
At 4 p.m., as the match is set to kick off, the media practitioners and the politicians will move out of their comfort zones to show their dexterity and tactical prowess in the most valuable game in the world, arguably.
The association called on the general public to come and witness an exciting game of football.
The 2nd Upper East Regional GJA Awards program will be held under the theme “Safeguarding the Peace and Security of the Upper East Region: The Role of the Media” at 6 p.m. at GNAT Hall, Bolgatanga.
