The Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, is expected to assume the role of Upper West Regional Minister, while his counterpart, Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, will assume the role of Upper East Regional Minister.
This was contained in a statement signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency.
According to the statement, the move forms part of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s attempt to ensure effective governance.
“Effectively, immediately, the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu, will assume the role of Upper West Regional Minister. Similarly, the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, will become the new Upper East Regional Minister.
These changes are part of President Akufo-Addo’s ongoing efforts to ensure effective governance across the country, and he has tasked the Ministers to work tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of the people of the Upper West and Upper East regions, respectively,” portions of the statement read.
