The Upper East Regional Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salahudeen Musah Al-Khomieni, has urged Ghanaians to consider the many initiatives championed by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and make him president come December 7, 2024.
Mr. Al-Khomieni supported the Vice President’s position that he, Dr. Bawumia, has been Ghana’s most hardworking vice president since independence.
It would be recalled that the flagbearer for the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, described himself as the most active Vice President in Ghana’s history during his campaign tour in the Upper East Region.
Addressing some clergymen in Bolgatanga, Dr. Bawumia highlighted his contributions to the nation’s digital transformation, emphasizing key innovations he has spearheaded.
“I’m the most active Vice President ever witnessed in Ghana since independence. I brought about the e-pharmacy system. I brought the Ghana Cards and so many more, as the Ghana Cards can save the country billions of cedis by doing away with ghost workers and others,” Dr. Bawumia stated confidently.
He further explained that he has been instrumental in introducing several digital initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and transparency in various sectors.
“The e-pharmacy system, for example, is one of the notable achievements in the country, and I must say 46 pharmacies in the Upper East Region are part of it. It is streamlining access to pharmaceutical services, ensuring that Ghanaians can obtain medications conveniently and securely online. This system is part of a broader effort to modernize the healthcare sector and improve service delivery.”
Speaking on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer explained that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s work as vice president makes him the most suited to be president.
“People do not have confidence in John Dramani Mahama. We have someone who is just a vice president, but he has led in the implementation of several projects in this country. That is the person we are talking about. He has proved to be credible. He has proved not to be an armchair vice president who waits for the president to be away before he acts,” he said.
