Yara Ghana Limited has unveiled its latest agricultural innovation, the “YaraVita CropLift Bio,” marking a significant contribution to boosting crop production in the Upper East Region.
This foliar fertilizer, enriched with essential nutrients such as NPK, secondary elements, and trace elements like Zinc, Boron, and Magnesium, aims to revolutionize crop cultivation by enhancing fruit quality and increasing yields.
According to Theresa Randolph, the Country Manager of Yara Ghana Limited, the YaraVita CropLift Bio serves as a versatile crop booster and supplement suitable for various crops including cereals like Maize, Rice, Sorghum, and Millet, as well as fruits, vegetables, and tree crops such as Cocoa.
Speaking to the media, Ms. Randolph highlighted the rigorous testing process undergone by the product, including certification from the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), specifically endorsing its efficacy in improving foliage, flowering, and cocoa bean production.
“This amazing product has gone through the test cycle with the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) and has been certified for use on cocoa to boost foliage, flowering, and cocoa bean production. It can be easily tank-mixed with any agrochemicals except for herbicides and weedicides.”
She emphasized the compatibility of YaraVita CropLift Bio with other agrochemicals, except for herbicides and weedicides, making it seamlessly integrable into existing farming practices.
Madam Randolph underscored Yara’s commitment to sustainability, positioning YaraVita CropLift Bio as a pivotal advancement in promoting agricultural efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
Basit Ussif, an Agronomist with Yara Ghana Limited, elucidated that beyond enhancing crop health, YaraVita CropLift Bio is strategically formulated to support farmers in achieving higher yields and superior crop quality naturally and sustainably.
The unveiling ceremony witnessed the presence of key stakeholders including district directors of agriculture, farmers, and input dealers from the region.
Ataasu Christopher, a farmer from the Kassena-Nankana West District, expressed gratitude to Yara Ghana Limited for their continuous support and optimism for improved crop yields with the introduction of the new product.
