Mrs. Kudalor led a peace march and addressed a gathering of Police Wives Association (POLWA) in Bolgatanga on Friday.

“It is imperative for us as a country to protect our country from any form of violence or chaos,” she said.

According to her, spouses of police officers are not oblivious of the fact that peace is not obtained on a silver platter and they as concerned citizens of Ghana and wives of police officers, who by nature of their work are responsible for peace keeping in the country are significant stakeholders in the strive for peaceful elections.

“The purpose for this gathering and for that matter the peace walk is to create the awareness of the need to maintain peace now, during and after the 2016 election and to call upon every individual to contribute their quota to promote peace in the upcoming elections and to as well show our solidarity with the Ghana Police Service in their effort to maintain peace, order and security.”

The Upper Regional Police Commander DCOP Simon Afeku joined the peace march and congratulated the Police Wives and Wife of the IGP who doubles as the National President of the Police Wives Association (POLWA) for embarking on such an initiative as part of their support for peace ahead of the upcoming general elections.

“It is our passion as police officers to see our wives, mothers, and children going about their normal business. Anything that disrupts that emotionally affects us as officers to ensure that the relative peace the region is enjoying is sustained during and after the election,” he noted.
