Drama unfolds in Upper East music scene as Nambawan clashes with Showbwoy and B Wayne

Musician Nambawan has ignited a heated “beef” with fellow artists Showbwoy and B Wayne. The drama began when Nambawan made an indirect dig at Showbwoy regarding performance fees for an upcoming event in the region.

He remarked, “They give the Tamale man four zeroes (₵40,000) and give the Bolga boy (₵1,000) to support in Bolga. Our own colleagues kill us. I’ll be back for more details.”

Nambawan’s comments seemed to imply that Showbwoy was charging a very low amount for his performance at Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU), thereby undervaluing local artists while overvaluing those from other regions.

This statement didn’t go unnoticed, prompting fellow artist B Wayne to jump into the fray. He defended the integrity of local artists by countering, “Our own colleagues kill us. You’ve taken as low as three zeroes (₵1,000) to be on the same platform. Don’t discredit the next man; you’re not an exception. Stay true to yourself!”

The exchange between these artists has captured the attention of fans and bloggers alike, including Gh Blinks, who seems to have been caught in the middle as another musician, Sarauta, sent some jabs his way.

While speculation abounds about potential new music arising from this beef, the burning question on the minds of many entertainment lovers is: who will be the first to take to the studio and record a diss track aimed at their rivals?

As tensions escalate, fans and followers eagerly await the next move. Will Nambawan respond with another jibe, or will B Wayne set the record straight? And most importantly, which artist will capitalize on this drama and deliver a diss track that will define the current narrative in the Upper East Region’s music scene?
