The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana has successfully concluded a month-long regional study visit in partnership with the Global Health Policy Program (GHPP).
The initiative brought together regulators from The Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone for comprehensive training in pharmaceutical regulation, aimed at enhancing public health systems across Africa.
The study visit, led by FDA Ghana experts, focused on practical training in laboratory services, regulatory affairs, and quality control. Participants praised the hands-on approach, highlighting the clarity and accessibility of the sessions.
This initiative has strengthened regulatory frameworks in the participating countries, paving the way for stronger collaborations and a unified approach to tackling public health challenges in Africa.
FDA Ghana’s CEO, Dr. Delese Mimi Darko, emphasized the importance of building robust regulatory frameworks to safeguard public health and urged continued partnerships to address Africa’s health challenges.
