Chairman of the Pentecost Church Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah has prevailed upon the Christian community in Ghana to strengthen the campaign for peace before, during and after the 2016 elections.

Dr. Onyinah noted that the tendency of politicians taking advantage of the youth to perpetrate chaotic activities must be checked by the Christian community and called on Christians to use every available opportunity to sensitize and empower the youth to eschew violence and avoid being used as tools to carry out such acts.

“The politicians are wise, it will be very rare to see any politician using his or her children going around causing trouble here and there during election period, but the politicians find it easier using other youth to initiate some of these conflict,” he said.

He made the clarion call in Bolgatanga at the commissioning of a 1500 capacity seater open heaven auditorium for Pentecost International Worship Centre in Bolgatanga, Saturday. In a sermon before the commissioning ceremony, Apostle Dr. Onyinah reminded the congregants of the fact that every Christian is obliged to give an account of his or her work to the almighty God.  He further intimated that if Christians give positive accounts of their stewardship, God in turn blesses them.

He used the opportunity to extend his gratitude to every individual and organization who has contributed to the successful construction of the edifice and as well called for God’s blessing upon their lives.
