NPP’s Andrew Atariwini resigns as Deputy Upper East Regional Communications Director

Andrew Atariwini has tendered his resignation as the Deputy Regional Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, effective immediately.

In a letter addressed to the Regional Director of Communication, Mr. Atariwini expressed his deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve the party and highlighted his unwavering dedication to the NPP’s ideology and vision during his tenure.

“I make this decision with a clear conscience of my unwavering commitment, dedication, and service to the party in the aforementioned capacity over the last few years,” he stated in the letter.

Mr. Atariwini extended his gratitude to the Regional Director, regional executives, and his colleagues in the communication team for their trust, support, and camaraderie.

“Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for the trust and confidence reposed in me to serve by your side. To all my colleagues in the communication team, your warmth, love, and support will forever be with me; God bless you all,” he wrote.

The resignation of Mr. Atariwini marks the end of his notable contributions to the party in his capacity as Deputy Regional Communication Director. His departure comes at a time when the NPP is preparing for critical political activities in the region.

The Regional Director of Communication and other party executives are yet to officially respond to his resignation.

When Mr. Atariwini spoke to A1 Radio, he did not provide specific reasons for his resignation but dispelled rumors suggesting he might be preparing to contest for an executive position in 2026.

“I have to state categorically that I am not interested in contesting for any position when the party opens up for reorganization,” he clarified.
