Running Mate of the Progressive Peoples Party Brigitte Dzogbekunu, has said a vote for the Progressive Peoples Party is not a wasted vote as it is being preached by the governing National Democratic Congress and New Patriotic Party.

Addressing party supporters in Bongo constituency of the upper east region, she said the two major parties, NDC and NPP are now aware that it is time for change and that the people have been woken up to the reality of the need for development which PPP represents.

“When we see this kind of support we are happy but not only are we happy we also laugh. We laugh because the other two parties are telling people we are wasting our votes but they are lying. If you come here and you see the numbers here and we know all are voting for us, these votes cannot be wasted votes. They are saying that because they don’t want PPP to come but the two parties, NPP and NDC know that it is time for change, they know that you are awake and that you want development in the Upper East Region and that development is only known as PPP.”

Brigitte Dzogbekunu noted that the major political parties, NPP and NDC, have devised a tactic of influencing electorates with money in order to get them to vote for them. She however cautioned electorates against selling their conscience for a pittance but think of their future by rather choosing the Progressive Peoples Party to come and provide them with unrivalled development.

“They know where we are so when we come to visit and they see our support they also come and when they come they come and try to change your mind but your mind cannot be changed with money. Your mind should not be changed with 2,5 and 10 cedis because you will take that money and your health will be poor, you will not have jobs, your roads will remain the same, you will take that money and you will find it difficult to go to school. So when they come and they say you are wasting your votes, tell them you are voting for change,” she added.

She urged all present to vote for Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and the Bongo constituency Parliamentary Candidate, George Ae-engibinge Afaari because they are the best choice for Ghana and Bongo Constituency.

Ms. Brigitte Dzogbekunu was on a three days campaign tour of the upper east region.
