Real Madrid, Barcelona football fans honour Bongo Soe St. Joseph Catholic Church catechist with special match

Youth football fans of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in Bongo Soe organized a special match on Sunday, November 30, 2025, to honor Mr. Dominic Adongo Ayambire for his longstanding service to community development and humanity. Ayambire, who serves as a catechist at Bongo Soe St. Joseph Catholic Church, is widely admired for his humility, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of others.

The event drew community members, football enthusiasts, dignitaries, and church leaders to celebrate Ayambire’s contributions. The match was filled with excitement, sportsmanship, and unity, culminating in a 3-0 victory for the Barcelona side. The game’s first breakthrough came in the 30th minute when Paul Akandi, known as Don 1, skillfully converted a chance to give Barcelona the lead.

Several dignitaries attended the program, including the head coach of Ghana’s national under-17 team, local chiefs, assembly members, elders, and church leaders. The community presented Ayambire with a traditional smock and a cash gift as tokens of gratitude for his years of service as a catechist and the positive impact he has made on countless lives.

The Ghana under-17 coach encouraged the youth to maintain their dedication to training, promising to support talented players with opportunities to join the national team in due course.
