New Patriotic Party Parliamentary candidate for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Hon. Rex Asanga, has asked electorates to vote peacefully and avoid all acts that will put the peace of the country into jeopardy.

According to him, there is no need for fighting over elections because it is a process to express one’s opinion to select leaders and not about war.

“We don’t have to fight because of the election. I mean we do not have to go to war over the elections. Let us go through this process and come out peacefully.”

He underscored the need for electorates to make the various institutions charged with handling electoral matters do their work and not take matters into their hand and cause problems.

“I ask that everybody has to go through the process in a peaceful manner. Let everybody do his work in the way that is required. The police, electoral officials and polling agents should do their work as expected.”

Hon. Asanga cast his ballot some hours ago at Kulbia in Sumbrungu. In all, Bolgatanga Central constituency has 119 polling stations and 68011 registered voters with 27 electoral Areas.
