President of policy think tank, IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe has called on President-Elect, Nana Akufo-Addo to take a cue from the appointments made by Donald Trump, the President-Elect of the United States of America and not appoint poverty looking individuals who have no experience.

Nana Akuffo Addo has asked the National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party to give him more time as he does a broader consultation to select individuals to make up his cabinet.

But in a Facebook post, IMANI President noted that President Trump is appointing self-made individuals rather than ‘hunger stricken’ individuals who will want to come and satisfy their parochial interest rather than that of the state. He, therefore called on the President-Elect to appoint his Ministers based on the model used by President Trump.

He posted “I hope President Elect Nana Addo is taking a cue from Trump’s appointments. My beloved Trump has appointed self-made people and billionaires with business experience so far. No need appointing poverty looking people and those with little experience. We don’t want onaapo appointments”.

President Akufo-Addo is currently consulting to select people who will join his government as Ministers and will occupy other government positions. Ahead of a release of the list by the President-Elect, there have been several list of names of probable individuals circulating on social media.
