The first runner-up of the 2025 Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant, Asakia Hawawu Hanaan, has launched the “Time to Deliver” campaign in the Bongo District as an ambassador for WaterAid Ghana and Bido Ghana. The campaign aims to ensure safe and dignified childbirth for all mothers.
Speaking at the launch, Miss Hanaan emphasized that childbirth should not be a gamble with death, highlighting the urgent need for investment in healthcare infrastructure, particularly access to clean water.
“We are changing that narrative. Safe and dignified childbirth is not a luxury; it is a right that requires our urgent investment and collective action,” she said.
Miss Hanaan also assured mothers in the Upper East Region that their voices are being heard. “We see you. We value you. And we are fighting for your dignity,” she said.
The campaign launch marks a crucial step toward improving maternal healthcare in the region.
