Bolgatanga All Stars will adopt the Utrecht Academy Park in Tamale as its home venue for the Ghana Premier League which has been scheduled to start on February 4 in all league centers in the country, club CEO Abdul Basit Paawille has disclosed.

Although the venue has not been assessed by the Ghana Football Association’s committee in charge of assessing venues for the league, the club has tipped the Academy’s park as its home venue due to their drive to cut cost.

The choice of venue has become necessary as the newly promoted club will be unable to use the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium which is currently undergoing some renovation works to enable the facility meet the FIFA licensing regulations.

With the state of work at the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium, the team is hoping to return back to Bolgatanga, its home base after two matches to play the rest of the league matches in the Bolgatanga sports stadium which is being given a facelift.

Although the Ghana Premier League starts on February 4, the team is yet to secure a sponsor for the club and relies heavily on private funds of owners of the club and a few stakeholders in and out of the Upper East Region.
