The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bongo, Edward Bawa, has reinstalled the mechanized borehole pump at the Bongo District Hospital in the Upper East Region which was stolen in March this year.
The stealing of the borehole pump posed a threat to the lives of in-patients and out-patients at the hospital as cesarean operations and normal surgeries temporarily came to a halt.
In a swift response however, the MP has fixed the pump and water supply is back to normalcy at the hospital.
In a letter of appreciation dated 18th April, 2017, to the MP, the Medical Superintendent of the Bongo District Hospital, Dr. William Gudu, said during the period the incident took place, some departments of the hospital could not function effectively.
