The Peoples National Convention has thrown its weight behind the party’s leader’s new position as the Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Ghana and has congratulated him for his appointment.
Statement from the party said “NEC congratulates and supports H.E. Dr. Edward N. Mahama on his appointment as Ambassador at Large, by the President of the Republic of Ghana.

The National Executive Committee also confirmed him as the leader of the party.
The statement indicated that “the Party’s Chairman, Mr. Bernard Mornah should continue in the capacity as Chairman but must recognise henceforth, the authority of the leader in his execution of duties as a National Chairman”.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jacob Amoako has been asked to assume the role of acting General Secretary with immediate effect.
