GJA Chairman bemoans poor state of sanitation in Upper East region

The Chairman of the Upper Regional chapter of the Ghana Journalist Association, Eric Amoh has bemoaned the poor state of sanitation in the Upper East region and has charged the Regional Minister to make it a priority to fight sanitation related issues in the region.

The Upper East region suffers several insanitary conditions paramount of which is open defecation.

The Chairman who was speaking at a media engagement organised by the  Upper East Regional Coordinating Council said the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga which used to be the benchmark when it came to sanitation is currently suffering several insanitary conditions which do not speak well of a regional capital.

He used the opportunity to call on the regional coordinating council to as a matter of urgency secure a good vehicle to transport journalists during official assignments for the RCC in order to ensure the safety of journalists in the region.
