Ghanaian artiste, Article Wan has advised young and upcoming artistes to see music as a business venture that requires that all the administrative and product growth procedures and practices are applied.

According to him, every song from a musician is a product he or she has produced and needs to be protected and promoted to make impact and to end up attracting revenue.

Article Wan believes that for a musician to grow and shine in the industry, more will depend on the artiste to attract the fame and not just because of the big stars they feature.

In recent times many young artistes have chosen the featuring of big stars as the surest route to the top of their career, but Article Wan has encouraged young musicians to do good songs and back them with aggressive promotion even after they have featured a big artiste in their songs or covers.

Speaking in an interview with Priscilla Asapoka on the “Work and Happiness” show on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga, the “Solo” hit maker reasoned that many featured songs do not trend because such songs normally faced promotional challenges from their owners before and after.

“Yeah, sometimes it is funny because immediately someone is able to feature you on his/her song, that person leaves everything to you; the promotion and everything to you, thinking that the song will be a hit. The point is, a featured song can only gain publicity if both the owner and featured artiste worked collectively.” He explained.

According to Article Wan though he has been featured on many songs, the song he did with the Rockcity group based in Bolgatanga would be seen as his favorite.

He however encouraged the local based musicians to continue pushing hard as their style of music is unique from their colleagues.

Meanwhile, Article Wan has debunked claims circulating on social media that he has said the recent ‘beef’ between Medikal and Strongman got people’s attention to the extent that they did not want to listen to any song except songs from the two, which affected KiDi’ s effort at promoting his “Sugar” album.
He however assured his fans that his “Afrosupa” album which will be launched this year, will feature some of the best and finest musicians in Ghana, hence they should get ready for the best.
“There are 15 quality songs on the album and Ghanaians are going to like them all.” He added.
