Former player of Tamale Ghatel, Yorogo Youngsters and Vea Future Queens, Adam Bashira has become the first female Coach to take charge of a male side in the Upper East Region.
Bashira, before her appointment as coach of Zorkor Sporting Club was the welfare officer of the club.
‘Lady Bash’ as she is affectionately called is currently a student of Bolgatanga Technical University.
Her appointment is a two-year contract and she has been tasked to qualify the club to Division two, unearth new talents for the club and help in their development. She has also been tasked to build a succession plan by maintaining a solid juvenile side.
Coach Bashira will be assisted by a team of coaches
The club has plans of adding a female side hence their decision to appoint a female Coach to motivate young ladies to take up the sports.
She is described as a lady who has the zeal, passion and mental toughness for the job.
Management has assured of its prepared to give her the support she deserves to excel.
