The Functional Executive Board of the Upper East Development Association (UDA) has congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his re-election to serve a second term in office as president of Ghana.
UDA is a development centered group in the Upper East region with the aim of harnessing development in the region.
The group in a statement signed by some members of the Functional Executive Board, William Atindana and Godwin Asabire Akazee and copied to A1 NEWS said President Akufo-Addo has been given another mandate to manage the affairs of the country because of his unflinching love for the country.
“The good people of Ghana have once again decided to entrust the destiny of our beloved country into your hands and we are convinced that the tenacity, dexterity and your compelling desire for the rule of law and your unflinching passion for Ghana’s development that you demonstrated over the years will put you in a comfortable position to lead all Ghanaians through the path to progress with your incoming government.”
The group pledged it’s committed to working with the Akufo-Addo government through thick and thin to conscientiously address all issues affecting the people of the Upper East Region.
Members of UDA are convinced that the reelection of Akufo-Addo is an opportunity for the government to deal head-on with alleged issues of corruption and other corruption related offences in his second term of office.
“We wish you well in your office as you embrace this daunting task. We believe that the good Lord who made your Presidency a reality will definitely see your government through”, the statement further stated.
