Though the group could not emerge as the winner of the 2021 Edition of the 3Music Next Rated Act of the year, Rockcity of Bongo Beer says the nomination alone spoke more for its brand as it puts fear on its enemies.

The group was selected amongst other artists to represent the Upper East Region at the just-ended 2021 Edition of the 3Music Awards as the Next Rated Act of the year.

The group in an exclusive interview with A1Radio noted that though they anticipated a win, they were happy to be part of the nomination.

They said” Yes, in every competition, a win is always the ultimate but we were happy to be part of the nomination. There were feelings that we may not make it to win because last year 2020, it was one of our own in the Upper East Region who won the Next Rated Act of the year so we thought of much. But all the same, we put our best. And the nomination alone puts fear on our enemies.”

Stressing on some of the loopholes that caused their loss, they said that voting and promoting their art were not rated as expected especially on social media platforms.

“The voting and promoting of our art on the various platforms especially social media like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook as well as having majority of followers also played a lot of roles. Yes, financial capability you know everything is money and so it’s difficult for you to do a lot of things if you don’t have the financial muscle. You know, we do not do have a lot of people subscribing to our YouTube channel like various artists who were on there, and so it gives us a huge challenge anytime we were up against people who are coming from the Southern sector.”

Rockcity however assured its fans of more hit-to-hit songs coming this year as it’s set to invest more in quality engineering works on its art.
