Information reaching A1Radioonline.com indicates that Assembly Members at the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region have rejected Agnes Anamoo as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

She failed to secure the endorsement of two-thirds of the 19-membership of the assembly.

At an election held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, she polled 12 YES votes against 7 NO Votes.

Madam Anamoo is among the 5 Municipal and District Chief Executives from the previous administration who were retained by President Akufo-Addo.

It is not yet clear what could have led to her failure to retain her position.
