Justice Paul Uuter Dery, one of the indicted judges in the trending judiciary corruption scandal, has withdrawn  his  suit to stop the premiering of the video at the Accra International Conference Centre. The suit was against the Director of Estates and General Services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Manager of the Accra International Conference Centre and the Attorney General.

The case was struck out on Tuesday after lawyers of Dery withdrew the case since they could not serve ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas with the writ.

Presiding over the case, Tuesday, Justice Gertrude Torkonu said the video is of public interest. The piece of a two-year painstaking investigation will be shown at the Accra International Conference Centre tonight and tomorrow.

The video will reveal judges captured on video allegedly negotiating with agents including court clerks and police prosecutors to free suspects in robbery and murder cases.

The planned showing of the video has attracted much disapproval especially from the quarters of some high court judges implicated in the scandal as they argue the move by Anas to show the video today goes against the constitutional provision. But despite these legal impediments brought against the journalist, it is clear from all indications that the video would be shown.
