The Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaji Alhassan Hassan has asked the Ghana Football Association to respect the decision of the High Court.
Alhaji Hassan’s comments are in respect of the recent development with regard to the GFA and Ashantigold case before the High Court. He spoke on A1 Radio’s Sports Update show, Thursday 29th September, 2022.
He advised the FA to go the court and defend their case and wait for an opportune time to resume the league.
Alhaji Hassan commended the Ghana Football Association for demoting Ashantigold, stressing that betting in football is prohibited and those who fall foul of the law must be punished.
The Ghana Football Association decided to put the Betpawa premier league on hold following a motion or notice for injunction filed at the Human Rights High Court by Ashantigold SC.
