The Upper East Regional Director of the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Francis Ennor has retired after serving for 4 years in the region.
According to Mr. Ennor, providing agricultural support to farmers in the region has been a life-changing moment.
“I must admit that I have enjoyed working in the region. I always say the real agric is up north because the daily challenges you encounter will help shape your life and knowledge. I am happy. I have learned something new working here. The people are lovely and always ready to assist you in any way. I should add that my working life, I have spent here, I mean up north, I have worked in the Upper West Region before, and from there, I went to Northern Region, then to Upper East Region. I am grateful to you all for keeping me healthy.”
Mr. Ennor added that though he has been served with the letter of retirement, he will be providing support to the department till a new person takes over.
He called on workers as well as district directors to make sure they support whoever will be taking over the position to achieve the needed results for the region and country at large.
