One of the immediate past vice chairmen of the National Democratic Congress in the Upper East Region has been shot dead by unknown assailants. There are no clear reasons for the attack, according to the party.
This was communicated by the Regional Secretary of the party, Donatus Akamugri.
“Upper East Regional Secretariat of NDC announces with sorrow that one of our immediate past Regional Vice Chairmen, Mr. Williams Akanyele has been shot dead yesterday, 6/9/2023 in his bedroom in his family house in Nabango -Chiana/ Paga constituency.”
“The matter has been reported to the Police. The cause is yet to be known,” Mr. Akamugri wrote.
